Roles You May Work In

Swim Instructor / Water Safety Instructor

Swim Instructors teach children from 4 months to 12 years old using the Aqua-Tots curriculum. You do not need to be a competitive swimmer. You do need to be comfortable in the water, willing to learn, and excited to work with kids.
  • Teach group and private swim lessons
  • Follow the Aqua-Tots curriculum and lesson standards
  • Help students build confidence and water safety skills
  • Communicate progress to parents after class and through our digital Aqua-Card system
  • Receive regular coaching and evaluations
  • Attend monthly paid in-service trainings

Front Desk Associate

Front Desk Associates create the first impression for families and help keep the school running smoothly.
  • Welcome families and students
  • Answer phones and assist with questions
  • Help families enroll in swim lessons
  • Schedule and adjust classes
  • Support trial lessons and new family onboarding
  • Help solve account issues
  • Support sales and customer service conversations
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility

Water Watcher

Water Watchers help keep the pool environment safe and organized. This role is similar to a lifeguard-style safety position, but because our pools are shallow and do not require deep-water rescue training, we call this role Water Watcher.
  • Monitor the pool area for safety
  • Watch student movement and pool traffic
  • Help children safely move through the facility
  • Assist with restroom breaks when needed
  • Support instructors and managers during lessons
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and organized pool environment

  • Reliable, coachable, and confident
  • Friendly, positive, and patient with children
  • Comfortable communicating with parents and teammates
  • Willing to learn and receive feedback
  • Able to follow safety standards
  • Excited to be part of a team and motivated by work that matters

Requirements

  • Must be able to work at least 2 shifts per week
  • Must be able to work at least 1 weekend shift
  • Must be comfortable working with children and families
  • Must be willing to complete paid training
  • Must support our mission of drowning prevention
  • Must be able to attend required monthly paid in-service trainings
  • Must be reliable, communicative, and ready to learn

Training

We train the right people. Training typically takes 2-4 weeks, depending on your availability and the role you are training for. Training is paid and includes shadowing, hands-on practice, feedback, and support from experienced team members and managers.
Team members receive ongoing coaching and evaluations so they can keep growing and improving.

Why Aqua-Tots?

Aqua-Tots is more than a part-time job. You will work with kids, build relationships with families, gain communication and leadership skills, and help teach life-saving swim skills. You will be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and celebrates student progress every day.
If you want a job that is fun, active, flexible, and meaningful, Aqua-Tots could be a great fit.
